The Canyon Blues and Jazz organization, founded in 2019, is a 501(c)(3) not-for- profit, driven by an all-volunteer workforce. Canyon Blues and Jazz presents staged outdoor evening “Sandia Chill Concerts” at the Placitas Homestead Village shopping center parking lot. Attendees set up their own chairs, picnic under the shade of large trees, and enjoy 90-120 minute concerts within the protected boundary of the shopping center. Admission to the roped off concert area is by individual ticket, or by seasonal membership. Accompanied children 16 and under are admitted for free. Canyon Blues and Jazz would like to thank the owners of the Placitas Homestead Village, our generous sponsoring businesses, and our yearly members, all of whom make it possible to present quality blues and jazz music entertainment and more. A unique local charity benefits from the proceeds of each Sandia Chill Concert. We give back to our community!
The mission of the Canyon Blues and Jazz is to organize and sponsor quality music concerts for Placitas and surrounding communities, promote the quality of life in these communities, and to fund raise for local charitable organizations through ticketing and memberships.
